Bet you didn’t think this was possible… Some people in my house hold seem to think that because they are only 50 calories they can eat the WHOLE tray of brownies. Unfortunately, that does 2 things.. 1) leaves the rest of us with no brownies, and 2) leaves the rest of us with no bloody brownies.
Therefore I will be making these in batches to satisfy everyone. These are deliciously light and moist, and I think they are the perfect substitute to regular brownies which are totally loaded with butter, sugar, flour, and more. Making them hands down one of my favourite go to recipes when I am craving a sweet treat without the added sugar and calorie intake.
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Cocoa powder – 1/2 Cup Old fashioned rolled oats – 1/2 Cup 3/4 Cup 1/4 Cup 1 Egg
1/3 Cup 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch salt
Handful of Recipe
1 – Preheat oven to 400F. 2 – Combine all ingredients into a blender or food processor (I used my 3- Grease a baking dish. 4 – Pour blended mixture into dish and bake for 15 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle on coconut flakes. 5 – Put the dish back into the oven for 5 mins. 6 – Once cooked allow to cool completely before cutting into 8 squares. (per square) Give them a try next time you are craving a brownie or some chocolate and let me know what you think. Most of the time, with only a few adjustments we can make something that is full of fat or sugar that much more nutritionally valuable.
